It was such a joy photographing the O’neal family! This has to be one of the most family session I’ve done to date! I originally met Ashley when I took newborn photos for her in the hospital, and was so happy to hear from her when she contacted me again a couple of months later about doing a large family portrait session! It would be a surprise gift to her mother for Christmas! How special is that?!?
The O’neals chose to have their photos done at a gorgeous farm owned by a close family friend. My heart soared when I pulled in to see beautiful rolling hills, citrus trees, giant oaks and my favorite… farm animals ♥♥♥ I was especially smitten by a pair of donkeys with the most beautiful spotted ivory and brownish gray coats. Seriously, I need some donkeys like these in my life!
It was an early morning the day of the family session, and the weather was quite chilly and overcast. With a total extended family of 19 people, including 10 children, we had quite the bunch! I was so impressed by how well everyone’s outfits coordinated and how well behaved the kids were. With much less effort than I expected, we were able to get a couple of great group shots of the whole family together! We spent the rest of the time doing individual family portraits and grabbed a couple of husband and wife shots. My personal favorites are of all the kids thrown up on the hay bale making silly faces together. Such sweet precious memories! I cannot believe what a handsome and chunky little guy Chandler has grown up to be! Such a happy, smiley baby… and my goodness, those blue eyes!
Thank you so much, Ashley, for choosing me again as your photographer! In the small amount of time I spent with your family, it was obvious to me just how close knit and comfortable you are with each other. I am so grateful to have met everyone and spend a little bit of time getting to know your wonderful family! I hope that these photos will be something you will all be able to love and cherish for years to come! ♥
