Engagement Under the Mossy Oak Trees | Inverness

FILED IN: Engagement

The rain stopped just before we met at the cute little park in Inverness. The grass still freshly wet, but the clouds slowly rolled back letting the most beautiful golden sunlight stream in through the mossy oak trees. It was the perfect evening and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to spend it with!

Lee proposed to Leah in the spring while on a family vacation at the keys. He planned a special boat ride for sunset… but it just happened to be very overcast that evening. Leah kept trying to talk him into going on another more sunny night, but he insisted! They finally took the boat out on the water and parked at a peaceful little spot on the bay. Lee began to utter nervous “I love you”s and reflected on the past few years (which he described as the best in his life)… so that by this time Leah knew something was going on. She said they were both sweating bullets now 😂 Lee knelt down on one knee and asked Leah to marry him- and she, of course, said yes!

These two are just the sweetest! So kind and such a joy to be around! They’re the kind of people that just can’t help but smile- even in “serious” moments! haha They both went to high school in the same small town and had crossed paths a couple of times… but didn’t hit it off until they met again later on while both attending college in Tallahassee. Lee graduated as an engineer and Leah as a dental hygienist. They both were offered really great jobs in Ocala straight out of school, moved in together and our now planning the perfect wedding ♥ I can’t wait to see them again at Lakeside ranch on their wedding day come early this spring!
