Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of taking pictures of my brother-in-law and his girlfriend. They have been together a little over a year now, but go back way further than that. They first met in high school, where they caught each other’s eye but never ended up dating. Fast forward almost 15 years later, where they bumped into each other again while Jenn was working as the new manager at the tractor supply in town. Over the next couple of weeks Chris was making an excuse to stop by the store nearly every day, but we all knew it was just to talk to Jenn 😉 . They got to know each other slowly over the next couple of months, but I am so glad that he eventually worked up the courage to ask her out, because they are truly a match made in heaven! Jenn’s bubbly and outspoken nature compliments Chris’s more quiet and reserved one. She loves horses and has even taken Chris (who I don’t know has ever ridden a horse before her) on a few trail rides! They both love to be outdoors and always have a ton of chickens, pigs and vegetables growing in the garden!
It was so fun taking pictures of these two on the property. I wanted it to be rustic and laid back just like them, so we really just wandered the back pastures looking for good light and pretty trees. Chris and Jenn spend most of their days feeding animals and working outside, it’s truly who they are, so I was glad to capture some of that in these pictures. We had to call things a little short because shortly after the horses found us, they also found all the food on the back of the buggy we brought with us! 😀 haha The black and white paint even trotted behind us all the way back to the house!!
